Review: I do not give ratings 10 easily, but here it is - the first film in this year that was earned rating.Neill Blomkamp brings to the screen a wonderful, gritty, realistic piece of science fiction with the District number 9 Ever since Ridley Scott's Blade Runner, John Carpenter's Thing, or James Cameron's Aliens, we have seen a science fiction film with a vision of this caliber. Seeing District number 9, it will be clear to everyone, why Peter Jackson put so much faith in Blomkamp and took him under his wing as a prot? G '. Leaving normal settings Hollywood science fiction and put us in a harsh slums of South Africa, we have the original piece of work that takes risks in the way he tells his story. This is not only contrary to the expectations of the public, who have been trained to expect mediocrity of his science fiction, it goes beyond the call of duty to provide us with the spectacle and something to think about after Weve brought down our popcorn. There is, fortunately, not too much overexposed celebrity in sight, and every unknown person in the film gives good results. Aliens themselves, brilliantly realized with high quality CGI even manages to make us feel something, just to compete with Gollum from Lord Rings.District 9 has so much wanted. His impressive, darkly funny, interesting and thoughtful all at the same time, and this is done on a meager $ 30 million budget. This is a true talent on show here. If only there were more films like this, the movie world is a more interesting place. |
