Review: I was one of the few lucky fans who attended the Sydney premiere and my impression was Wow! Use of known Roddenberry plot device to reset the franchise was a brilliant idea and means that a franchise can now go ahead without fans screaming canon! The film itself was brilliant cast and each actor enough like the original to be believable in the role, was no over the top action, television, when it all began in 1960s.The special effects are top notch.Its done film, which enjoys to take any, science fiction, and not just someone who knows the past 40 years Trek.So level at which I'm a fan? I have three costumes, visit conferences and appeared in Trekkies 2, and still want, because the company said in the first episode was her only alternative universe, it's the same but different. I see this film in the same light, same but different. |
