Review: What's funny about dodgeball? First, it is a film about a group of adult non-competitive and somewhat eccentric Dodgeball game to save a gym non-very-impressive from the clutches of a gym chain competitive monopoly. Second - Ben Stiller. Stiller over-the-top and hilarious as the evil nemesis average Joe Vince Vaughn. Vaughn - play less than the average Joe owners Average Joes gym game losing eternal bad luck to end. The supporting cast is terrific. Alan Tudyk, Rip Torn, Christine Taylor and Stephen Root is a great ensemble. This is a Hollywood comedy camp pretty extreme and pretty. Although a lot of adult humor, the film is also refreshingly clean, compared to the average 21st century comedy. Dodgeball also serves as a spot-the-cameo film because a lot of celebrities popping here and there throughout. The strange the first time I saw this film, I was overjoyed, and I laughed a lot. Although the film remains entertaining, like most comedies, it has lost some of its luster in the second viewing. Why rating of just 6? Despite good solid campiness and humor, it is still a great film formula and tends to evaporate after a viewing or recommended two.Strongly - for a viewing! |
